Miss Thelma Florence Alford
Thelma Florence Alford, 78, died of cancer on Thursday, April 1, 2004.
She was born September 8, 1925, to Thomas and Eunice Alford in Mississippi and the family moved to Manatee County in 1928.
Miss Alford earned her B.S. degree from Florida Southern College in Lakeland, Florida.
Before retirement, she was the Girls' Physical Education Department Head
at Palmetto High School.
She is survived by her niece, Pamela Kiernan; her two great nephews;
and her caretaker, Tina Lauderdale.
Interment will be at Mansion Memorial Park.
Ellenton Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
