Dr. Haynes had more than forty-ve (45) years of cumulave experience in mental health, therapeuc and clinical
counseling. Dr. Haynes was an experienced facilitator in the eld of Alternave Dispute Resoluon (ADR) since 1993. He
had advanced training in several styles of mediaon to include Facilitave and Transformave dispute resoluon.
Dr. Haynes had an impeccable selement and track record in the ADR community. He has conducted well over ve
thousand (5000) mediaons in venues to include the US Postal Service, the US Equal Employment Opportunity
Commission (EEOC), the Transportaon Security Administraon (TSA), the Naonal Park Service, Georgia’s Department
of Educaon (Special Ed Division), Florida’s Department of Financial Services (Insurance Division), local court systems,
and the Faith-Based Community.
He was well known in his local faith community as Pastor Haynes and has served in a Pastoral Care & Counseling (PCC)
role for over 25 years providing spiritual care to those in need within congregaons and as a chaplain for police
departments and Marketplace Chaplains, USA.

Rev. Dr. Herman E. Haynes
Born in Mineral Wells, Texas, Reverend Dr. Herman Earl Haynes, Jr. and family’s stay in Mineral Wells was short lived. The family
moved to Palmeo, Florida where Reverend Dr. Haynes was reared. He was educated in the Manatee County Public School System,
graduang from Palmeo High School in 1971.
Reverend Dr. Haynes would come to be a blessing to the many lives he touched. Pastor Haynes, he was aeconately called by most,
will always be remembered for his compassion for others, his willingness to help anybody and serve others with joy. He loved people
and it showed. He was a loving husband and father. He was a problem solver, peacemaker, counselor, mediator and friend.
At an early age Pastor Haynes demonstrated early leadership acumen. His gi of reconciliaon was demonstrated throughout his life
from a very early age. He was blessed with the ability to bring people together no maer their age, gender, race or naonality. He
was oen called to facilitate cases with dicult situaons. While in high school, he played football, basketball and played the
trumpet.
He matriculated at Florida State University where he earned his Bachelor of Science, in Psychology (1975) and a Master of Science, in
Counseling & Human Systems (1977). He had a thirst for knowledge and went on to aend Candler School of Theology at Emory
University. He graduated with a Master of Divinity Cum Laude (1994). He connued his educaon at Columbia Presbyterian Seminary
graduang with a Doctorate in Ministry Magnum Cum Laude (2008).
He met the love of his life, Jacquelyn Elaine Johnson, in 1972 while at Florida State University. They were married on
June 10, 1978, and he promised to love and cherish her unl death. For 44 years he did just that. Their union was
blessed with ve children: Cesar Murray (deceased), Latrina Sherrese (deceased), Tiany Deon, Bridgee Quiana &
Herman Jeremy. Although he was not one to shower us with hugs and kisses, we all knew we were his joy and delight. He was
“Daddy”. He was “Big Papa”. He was “Rev”. He was Pastor Haynes.
Pastor Haynes’ calling into ministry began in 1979 while he was a member of the former Morning Star Bapst Church, Atlanta, GA.
However, it was shortly aer joining The Greater Piney Grove Bapst Church in 1992 that he accepted his call into ministry. He
served as the Sta Pastor for Pastoral Care and Counseling from 1999 to his death. Over 25 years he served. He loved people and
people loved him. His outreach naonally, statewide, locally and most importantly, individually, has impacted lives in ways beyond
measure. He looked at everyone through the eyes of Jesus, treang everyone with love, respect and dignity. He was also the founder
Chief Execuve Ocer (CE0) of Haynes Alternave Dispute Resoluon Services (ADR) for twenty-nine (29) years.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Herman and Razaleen Haynes; daughter Latrina Warren; son Cesar Murray and grandson
Brandon Hilliard.
His legacy of love, service, honesty, fairness and compassion will forever be cherished in the hearts of his wife, Jacquelyn “Jackie”, his
children, Tiany (Wayne) of Orlando, Florida, Bridgee of McDonough, Georgia and Jeremy (Crystal) of Conyers, Georgia, brother,
Edward Haynes (Adriene) Miramar, Florida. In-laws Herman Johnson of Des Moines, Iowa, Bey Williams (Johnny) of Miami, Florida,
Rubin Johnson (Jean) of Ft. Pierce, Florida, Doris McKnight of Orlando, Florida; fourteen (14) grandchildren, Deonte’ James (Shaterra),
Jordan Watson, Tiamani Jacobs, Timothy Jacobs, Taylor Bailey, Tyra Green, Tyler Green, Madison Haynes, Madison Watson, Sydney
Haynes, Stephanie Warren, Stephone Robinson (Alicia), William James, Raven Warren. He also leaves his god-children and a host of
relaves, friends, colleagues, classmates, and his church family.
On April 20, 1953, God blessed the late Herman Earl Haynes, Sr. and Razaleen
Jeerson Haynes with a son, Herman Earl Haynes, Jr. Reverend Dr. Herman Earl
Haynes, Jr. transioned from this life on September 20, 2022, at the age of sixty-
nine (69).
