Charles Eugene Witt
December 19, 1929 - February 5, 2015
Gene Witt, 85, Palmetto, died February 5, 2015.
A lifelong resident of Manatee County, he was a graduate of Manatee High School in 1948 and he was a lifelong educator in the Manatee County School System. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Palmetto and he was a Veteran of the US Air Force during the Korean War.
Survived by his wife, Betty of Palmetto, FL; son, Ron (Peggy) of Palmetto, FL; daughters, Sandy (Wayne) Johnson of Palmetto, FL and Lee Ann (Jeff) Watts of Bradenton, FL; 6 grandchildren, Greg, Carly, Sarah, Bryan, Ansley and Ali; 5 great grandchildren, Ellie, Caroline, Chloe, Witt and Ella Kate.
Visitation 4-7PM Sunday February 8 with Services 4PM Monday, February 9, 2015 at the First Baptist Church of Palmetto, 1020 4th Street West, Palmetto, FL 34221. Brown & Sons Funeral Homes & Crematory 43rd Street Chapel, 604 43rd Street West, Bradenton, FL 34209 is in charge of arrangements.
