
Miss Vera Jacquelyn "Jackie" Sierra
After having fought and won many battles with cancer, Jackie Sierra of Anna Maria Island finally lost the war and passed away in Bradenton, Florida on August 16, 2004.
Miss Sierra earned her B.S. degree from Florida Southern College in Lakeland, Florida. After retiring from the Manatee County Schools, she indulged in her longtime passion for photography and was also a successful charter boat captain offering guided fishing excursions out of Holmes Beach.
Memorial services were held at 10 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 21, at Saints Peter And Paul Catholic Church, 2850 75th St. W., Bradenton. Memorial donations may be made to Hospice of Southwest Florida at 3355 26th St. W., Bradenton, Fla.
